The Conservation Project and Outreach Coordinator will manage and help direct conservation activities, recruit and manage volunteers and conduct outreach for stewardship projects. Social media and web skills are a plus. In addition, this position will assist the Executive Director with stewardship projects throughout the Black Rock Desert – High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area (NCA).
This position is located in Gerlach, and some nights and weekend work is required. The workload for this position will be split between time spent in the Visitor Center/Office and work in the field.
900 hours term, typically Thursday – Sunday, 40 hours a week. Days and times may vary including possible overnight outings in the field. The selected candidate will receive a stipend $1229 per month and upon successful completion, will receive an Education Award $3,097.
