The Hog Ranch Mountains are located west of Highway 34 near Leadville.

Hog Ranch Creek drains into Little High Rock Canyon. The 1906 map for Township 38 North -- Range 23 East (T38NR23E) shows Hog Ranch Creek.

However, Hog Spring is located elsewhere, near the Smoke Creek Desert.
