Rare Plant Treasure Hunt
The NCA is comprised of isolated and remote canyons and mountain ranges, 1.2 million acres of land, scarcely visited by a trained botanist. Northwestern Nevada is home to many rare plant species, but much of the landscape is difficult to access and survey. We are seeking intrepid desert botanists to survey these remote lands in search of rare plants! If you prefer the company of plants to people, then this is the project for you.
Any new rare plant populations will be reported to the Nevada Natural Heritage Program.
