Emigrant Trail Overland Tour a Success

A big thank you to Off-Road Safety Academy for running the Emigrant Trail Overland trip as a donation to Friends of Black Rock-High Rock. With your efforts, we are able to explore and educate visitors about the incredible history the Black Rock National Conservation Area holds. ⁠

The Applegate party used High Rock Canyon as their access to the desert. They rode across Black Rock toward the Humboldt River⁠. This trip will follow the Emigrant’s path through the National Conservation Area, from wide playa spaces to towering canyon walls.
