Corporate Engagement

Friends of Black Rock-High Rock works closely with its corporate supporters to best achieve their philanthropic goals. This may include marketing and brand awareness, employee programs, or a focus on youth education, dark sky events, or citizen science programs.

Unique Opportunities

As our current corporate supporters recognize, the Black Rock Desert and High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trail National Conservation Area (NCA) is one of the world’s most challenging and interesting locations in the west.

Iconic landmarks provide unique locations for highly visible volunteer projects and inspiring stories to share with clients, staff and customers.

Through philanthropic and cause-related donations, in-kind contributions or employee volunteerism, partnering with Friends of Black Rock gives your company the opportunity to protect this NCA for future generations, while achieving your philanthropic and marketing goals.

Partnership Highlight: Allied Nevada Gold

Allied Nevada Gold has partnered with Friends of Black Rock since 2011.  During this time employee volunteers have assisted in removing nine tons of dumped and rusted metal in the NCA, funded the installation of all new plumbing in the Friends of Black Rock office and information center in Gerlach, and supported the Wild & Scenic Film Festival presentations in Reno and Winnemucca, Nevada.

Allied Nevada Gold’s staff has taken great pride in their extraordinary contributions, adding to their positive feeling about where they work and ensuring they always have a great story to tell others!
