Truckee Meadows Public Lands Management Act

The Truckee Meadows Public Lands Management Act is the most recent proposal to dispose of public lands, and designate some WSA and Wilderness quality public lands, in a “land swap” affecting areas in and around the town of Gerlach, NV and the greater Black Rock Desert region.
Proposals for what to do with these public lands range everywhere from new mining developments in sight of the town of Gerlach, to the proposed Granite Banjo Wilderness.
Take a moment to review the timeline, and learn more about these proposals.
