
Massacre Ranch Campout & Cleanup 2022
Join Friends of Black Rock – High Rock as we work to clean up and beautify a portion of the Massacre Ranch site, removing litter, re-naturalizing roads, and restoring the cabin.
When: optional campout on Friday July 8th, cleanup on Saturday July 9, 2022
Where: Massacre Ranch, NV
OPTIONAL FOR VOUNTEERS: Meet at FBRHR headquarters the afternoon of the 8th, then carpool or caravan to the work site.
We will be working to clean up the cabin, litter and other debris
Friends will provide water & snacks on site! Please bring sunscreen, gloves, and a sensible hat. We will also provide tools and shade depending on the winds/weather.

Directions: Massacre Ranch is located north of High Rock Canyon Wilderness, 3-miles east of Nevada Highway 8A, and approximately 45-miles east of Cedarville, California, in northern Washoe County, Nevada.
Massacre Ranch Recreation Area sits in a unique desert setting with high rims, vistas, meadows, and sits along the California National Historic Trail. A recreational use cabin is available for visitors at a first-come, first-serve basis along with primitive campsites and vault toilet.
