2022 National Public Trails Day

National Trails Day on the first Saturday in June recognizes the incredible benefits of federal, state and local trails. Events held throughout the United States encourage people to discover their local trails and share their excitement for the outdoors.

Our staff is currently out and ready to camp out for the weekend with our partners: Friends of Nevada Wilderness and BLM. We look forward to updating our social media with photos. Sign up for our free e-newsletter for more information on recent and upcoming events!

When: Friday June 3rd 12 noon for camp setup – Sunday June 5th

Where: Steven’s Camp

Getting there: Volunteers and partner groups are meeting at the trailhead. We recommend carpooling if possible and traveling in a high clearance 4WD vehicle. Below are two options for driving if you plan to come out and would like to meet us there for a beautiful day of cleaning, restoration, and fun with “Friends” and BLM!

Directions: For those not driving an off road capable vehicle, I would suggest taking the 34 up to the 8A then east over to the signed right turn to Steven’s Camp. The roads are definitely passable by the average car. If there happen to be people not wanting to drive 70+ miles on dirt roads, they can always take the 447 through Cedarville then head east to the 8A and down to Steven’s Camp.

Plan to camp: radical self-reliance rules!

Weather: Plan ahead and prepare! Check the weather!

What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, work gloves, dress in layers, meals, reusable water bottle
