Friends of Black Rock Brochure distribution program:
As part of our outreach efforts, the Friends of Black Rock have made arrangements with many businesses in Sparks and Reno to post flyers and set up small counter-top displays at their locations. These displays hold our tri-fold brochure, which contains important information about how to contact us and get involved with the organization.

We need a small group of volunteers to donate an hour or so every few weeks; to stop in and check on these displays, and stock them with more brochures as needed. Here is the current list of locations where we have displays. If you are interested in helping out with this project, please take a look at this list to figure out which locations are the most convenient for you, and how many you could cover.

This is a key outreach program for our organization, and a perfect volunteer project for a small group of people who live in Reno (or fill in your home city here ;) with a minimal commitment of time and effort per month. Also, any travel can be reimbursed via mileage at the standard rate per mile, (just save your receipts and send them to us) or written off of your taxes as an in-kind donation (we have an in-kind donation form for you to fill out, and can provide you with a letter totaling your in-kind donations for the IRS if desired).

We now have a pick-up point in Reno for the brochure project, thanks to our gracious host and Friends board member Debbie Smith. This makes it easier for us to provide the flyers to our volunteers locally, and easier for you to access them at your leisure. This location is close to the big Renown Hospital near downtown Reno.
