The workshops will include a 20-minute presentation followed by a 40-minute discussion and will be offered at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The workshops will guide interested partners on how to contribute social and economic information in the development of the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement to amend Land Use Plans throughout the Greater Sage-grouse’s range in Nevada and Northeast California. They will also provide an opportunity for individuals to provide information regarding the use of public lands resources, how public lands influence their quality of life and how the BLM and U.S. Forest Service can balance multiple uses on public lands while planning for conservation of sage-grouse habitat. This input will be used to develop consistent objectives and conservation measures that will be incorporated into all relevant land use plans by 2014. For individuals who cannot attend the workshop in person, the presentation and discussion will be available real-time online through WebEx. If you are new to using WebEx, we recommend you join the meeting up to 15 minutes prior to the start time. The line will be muted until the meeting begins. To access WebEx: For more information about the BLM and USFS’s sage-grouse planning efforts, please visit the BLM’s National Sage-Grouse Planning Strategy webpage. |
