In the North Black Rock Range in the Black Rock NCA, volunteers will finish removal of cultural exclosure fencing and hike materials out of the wilderness to a ridgeline. The hike is about 2 miles round trip, and several trips will be made. Tools to be used include: fencing pliers, post jack, bow saw and personal protective equipment. We will camp in a meadow at the end of the road.
To participate, you must be a good hiker who is able to work at high elevations. This project involves hard physical labor.
A separate team will hike to and monitor springs in the area.
The route to the project can be extreme and requires high clearance vehicles. Transportation can be provided.
This trip is categorized as Strenuous/Labor Intensive.
