Citizens Spring Assessment Trip Leader training

TRIP LEADER TRAINING, APRIL 16 & 17
If you can conduct 2 or 3 trips per year, possibly with other volunteers, and want to receive training from Desert Research Institute in our spring assessment protocol, this event is for you!

Come join us Saturday April 16 at 9 am at the Gerlach Community Center:

Gerlach Community Center, 401 Cottonwood Street. Arriving in Gerlach headed north on Rte 447, if you go past Bruno's and the water tower, turn right at East Sunset, pass the post office and senior center, left on Cottonwood at the stop sign, and park to your left.

A classroom training will take place here, then Friends of Black Rock will provide a bag lunch. The afternoon will be spent in the field assessing springs and recording data. We will then camp out and have a potluck dinner. On Sunday morning, Friends of Nevada Wilderness will provide oatmeal and coffee. We will then continue spring assessments all day Sunday, finishing up around 4 pm. Lunch Sunday is your responsibility. All participants will complete a BLM Individual Services Volunteer Agreement.
