but generally meetings are held at 6 p.m.
the third Thursday of the month in Reno.

High Rock Trekkers meet annually in Nevada's Black Rock Desert and Host the Lassen-Applegate Emigrant Trail 4 wheel drive trip in July to benefit CA4WDC Conservation and Education Foundation. In search of the Forty-Niners - This is 200 miles of a guided 4-wheel drive tour of the 1849 wagon route used by thousands of emigrants from Imlay, Nevada to Surprise Valley, California. Superb desert and mountain scenery with many historical points of interest, led by experienced guides. All quality meals and basic camping facilities are provided. Limited to 25 vehicles. Located alongside Hwy 34 on the edge of the Black Rock Desert and billed as the world’s only drive-thru folk art experience, Guru Rd. philosophically and humorously combines poetry and folk wisdom in a series of stone tablets, monuments, sculptures, and earthworks. Originally created in 1980 by a local character named Dwayne “Doobie” Williams, Guru Rd. was added to and expanded upon continuously until 1995 when Dwayne passed away. Admission is free and the site is open 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. Sunday July 19, 2009
