FRIENDS OF THE BLACK ROCK/HIGH ROCK
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
July 15, 2010
Members and others in Attendance: Matthew Ebert, Dave Cooper, David Book, Graham Stafford, Janet Moran
The meeting was called to order at 6:04 pm.
There is more strategic planning needed, particularly since we now have new Board Members.
There is also a lack of "Board Responsibility" in performing tasks-Board Members need to have accountability toward other Board Members and require accountability from non-performing Board Members.
The next fundraising committee meeting will probably be held in October.
Articles for the Fall Newsletter are needed by mid-September. Possible articles include just about anything related to the Black Rock Desert, activities there, or about the region in general.
There will be Public Service Announcements about Friends on Burning Man Information Radio during the Event and the Visitor Contact Station will be at the Burning Man Event. Friends of Nevada Wilderness may also have an information table near Friends.
NEW BUSINESS: An inventory of Friends equipment, radios, and related material will be completed by year-end.
Respectfully submitted:
