090303 dune materials estimate

My estimate of the linear feet for the dune fence is 1800 feet. With one buck every 18 feet, and poles 20 feet long, this would require 200 – 20’ poles and 100 bucks.

This does not take into account the amount of fence already built, which I believe is about 600 feet. I think we should order the full amount, and keep any extra materials for later use in other dune projects.

I came up with this estimate using satellite photography, but I believe it to be accurate enough. I wanted to go out and measure physically by March 7, but this may not be possible because of rain. http://bit.ly/AXZ1i
